            이왕 왕 대리 하는 거, 진짜 왕처럼 보이는 게 좋겠지.

               누가 와서 슈렉 좀 다듬어 봐요.

*might as well  ~하는 편이 낫다 / ~하면 좋을 텐데, ~하면 어떨까

/ You might as well have these books; they're only gathering dust here (ie they are not

being used). 당신이 이 책들을 가지는 게 낫겠다. 여기 있어 봐야 먼지나 쌓일 테니까.

Beautician  Whatever. 뭐 어찌됐건.

Puss in boots  Okay, people. This is not rehearsal. Let's see some hustle.

                        자, 여러분. 이건 예행연습이 아니에요. 서두르자 고요.

Shrek  I don't know how much longer I can keep this up, Fiona.

Princess Fiona  I'm sorry, Shrek. Can you please just try to grin and bear it?

                        It's just until dad gets better. Shrek.

                        아버지가 나으실 때 까지만요.    슈렉.

*It's not a situation I would have chosen but I'll just have to grin and bear it.

Man  Ladies and gentlemen... Princess Fiona and her Sir Shrek.

Shrek  Hold that. Alright. Oh ya!  계속 해. 좋아. 예~

Princess Fiona  Shrek. 슈렉.

Shrek  Oh, that’s good. Scratch that high. You got it. You're on it. You're on it. Okay...

                  오, 좋은 거. 팍팍 긁어. 좋아. 바로 거기. 그래. 좋아…

Princess Fiona  Shrek!  슈렉.

Donkey  My eye! My eye! 내 눈! 내 눈!

Lady  What are you doing? 뭐 하는 거에요?

Shrek  Fiona. Are you okay? 피오나, 괜찮아요?

Princess Fiona  Yeah. I'm fine. 네, 괜찮아요.

Donkey  Oh, shrimp. My favorite. 오, 새우네. 내 가 젤 좋아하는 거.

Shrek  That's it. We're leaving.  됐어요 이제. 떠나 자고요

*That’s it 《구어》 바로 그거야, 그 점이야, 맞았어 / 바로 그게 문제야 / 이제 끝장이다 / 드디어 시작이다/cf.) that’s done it 《구어》 / 이제 그만!, 아아, 안돼 /잘됐어

 

Princess Fiona  Please calm down. 제발, 진정해요.

Shrek  Calm down? Who do you think we're kidding? I am an Ogre.

           I’m not cut out for this, Fiona. And l never will be.

         진정하라고요? 누굴 놀리려는 거요? 난 오우거 라고요.

           난 적임자가 아니에요. 결코 될 수도 없고.

*He's not cut out for teaching/to be a teacher.  그는 교사될 자질이 없다.

/I'm not the best man for this job. 전 이 직책의 적임자가 아닙니다

/He´s the right man for it. 그 사람 이야말로 적임자다.

 

Donkey  l think that went pretty well.  난 꽤 잘 된 것 같은 데.

Shrek  Donkey. 동키.

Donkey  Come on now, Shrek. 이러지 마, 슈렉.

Puss in boots  Some people just don't understand boundaries.

                       어떤 사람들은 자기 분수도 모른다니까.
