Mr. Ping:  Po! Get up! Po, what are you doing up there?

                포! 일어나!  포, 위에서 뭐 하는 짓이야?

Po:  Uh, nothing. Monkey! Mantis! Crane! Viper! Tigress! Rowrrr…

        어, 아무것도 아니에요. 원권! 사마귀권! 학권! 사권! 호권! 으흥…

Mr. Ping:  Po! Let's go! You're late for work. 포!  가자!  늦었어.

Po:  Coming! Sorry, Dad. 가요!   죄송해요, 아빠.

Mr. Ping:  Sorry doesn't make the noodles.
                What were you doing up there? All that noise.

                죄송하다고 국수가 만들어 지는 건 아니지. 위에서 뭐했니?
                그 소리는 다 뭐고.

Po:  Oh, nothing. I just had a crazy dream.
        오, 아니에요. 그냥 이상한 꿈을 꿨어요.

Mr. Ping:  About what? What were you dreaming about?

              무슨 꿈?  무슨 꿈을 꿨길래?

Po:  What was I…eh, I was dreaming about...uh…heh…noodles.

       무슨 꿈…어, 꿈 꾼 게…그러니까…국수요.

Mr. Ping:  Noodles? You were really dreaming about noodles?

                국수?  진짜 국수 꿈을 꾼 거냐?

Po:  Uh, yeah. What else would I be dreaming about?
       Oh, careful! That soup is sharp.

        네, 달리 내가 무슨 꿈을 꾸겠어요?  
        오, 조심해요!  국수면발이 날카로워요.

*Po hands a noodle bowl to a customer, then realizes his throwing star is sitting in it.

Also ‘sharp’ means ‘Strongly affecting the senses of smell and taste’.

Mr. Ping:  Oh, happy day! My son, finally having the noodle dream!
  You don't know how long I've been waiting for this moment.
  This is a sign, Po.

              오, 기쁜 날이구나!   내 아들이 드디어 국수 꿈을 꾸다니! 내가 얼마나 
 이 순간을 기다려 왔는지 모를 거다. 이건 계시야, 포.

Po:  A sign of what? 무슨 계시요?

Mr. Ping:  You are almost ready to be entrusted with the secret ingredient
of my Secret Ingredient Soup. And then you will fulfill your destiny
and take over the restaurant! Just as I took it over from my father,
who took it over from his father......
who won it from a friend in a game of mahjong.

             내 신비의 국수 비법을 전수받을 준비가 거의 된 거야. 그럼 넌 네 운명에
따라 이 식당을 물려 받게 되는 거지. 내가 네 할아버지한테 물려 받은 것처럼,
네 할아버지는 증조 할아버지한테 물려 받으셨고, 증조 할아버지는 마작게임에서
친구한테 이 식당을 따셨다.

*I entrusted him with all my money. 나는 그에게 내 돈 전부를 맡겼다.

Po:  Dad, Dad, Dad, it was just a dream. 아빠, 아빠, 이건 그냥 한낱 꿈이에요.

Mr. Ping:  No, it was the dream. We are noodle folk. Broth runs through our veins.

Po:  But, Dad, didn't you ever, I dunno, want to do something else?
Something besides noodles?

Mr. Ping:  Actually, when I was young and crazy,
I thought about running away and learning how to make tofu.

              사실, 내가 어리고 혈기왕성했을 때, 도망가서 두부 만드는
일을 배워볼까도 생각했었다.

Po:  So why didn't you? 그럼 왜 안 하셨어요?

Mr. Ping:  Oh, because it was a stupid dream. Can you imagine me making tofu?
 Tofu. No! We all have our place in this world. Mine is here, and yours is...

             말도 안 되는 꿈이었지. 내가 두부 만드는 게 상상이 가? 두부, 안 돼지!

               이 세상엔 우리 각자 자기 자리가 있는 거야. 내 자린 여기, 그리고 네 자린…

Po:  I know, is here. 알아요, 여기죠 뭐.

Mr. Ping:  No, it's at tables 2, 5, 7, and 12. Service with a smile.

               아니, 네 자린 2, 5, 7, 그리고 12번 탁자야. 웃으면서 손님 대해라.
