Satisfied with the silence, Shifu nods and resumes hismeditation.
Zeng drops in from the ceiling.

Would whoever’s making that flapping sound quiet down!
Inner…Oh, Zeng. Excellent. I could use some good news right now.
마음의 평안. 마음의 평안. 마음의…마…마…마…마음의 평안.
누가 푸드득거리는 줄은 몰라도, 조용히 해 줄래! 마음의…오 쳉.
좋아. 이제 좋은 소식 들을 때도 됐지.
Zeng: Uh…
*You could use a new suit. 옷을 새로 맞추면 좋을 텐데.

Oogway stands under the peach tree, deep in thought.
Shifu rushes in, emerging from the mist, extremely agitated.

Shifu: Master! Master! I have... It's...It's very bad news.
대사부님! 대사부님! 저….그게…안 좋은 소식입니다.
Oogway: Ah. Shifu. There is just news. There is no good or bad.
아, 시푸. 그냥 소식이면 소식이지, 안 좋은 소식, 좋은 소식은 없다네.
Shifu: Master, your vision. Your vision was right. Tai Lung has broken out of prison.
He's on his way.
사부님, 사부님의 예견이 옳았습니다.
타이 렁이 감옥을 탈출해서 여기로 오고 있습니다.
*Two prisoners broke out of jail. 두 명의 죄수가 탈옥했다.
/ Our troops broke out of the encirclement. 우리 군은 포위망을 빠져 나왔다.
Oogway: That is bad news...
if you do not believe that the Dragon Warrior can stop him.
안 좋은 소식이구먼… 그 용의전사가 타이 렁을 막을 거라
자네가 믿지 못한다면 말일세.
Shifu: The panda? Master, that panda is not the Dragon Warrior.
He wasn't even meant to be here! It was an accident.
그 팬더 요? 사부님, 그 팬더는 용의 전사가 아닙니다.
여기 와서도 안 될 놈이었다고요. 우연이었습니다.
Oogway: There are no accidents. 우연은 없다네.
Shifu: Yes, I know. You've said that already. Twice.
네, 압니다. 이미 말씀하셨지요. 두 번씩이나.
Oogway: Well, that was no accident, either.
그것도 우연이 아니라네.
Shifu: Thrice. 세 번째네요.

Oogway: My old friend, the panda will never fulfill his destiny, nor you yours,
until you let go of the illusion of control.
친구, 자네가 운명을 거스를 수 있다는 착각을 떨쳐버리지 못하는 한,
그 팬더는 결코 자기 운명을 완수할 수가 없다네, 자네도 마찬가지야.

*The tendency for human beings to believe they can control or at least influence
outcomes that they clearly cannot.
Shifu: Illusion? 착각 요?
Oogway: Yes. Look at this tree, Shifu. I cannot make it blossom when it suits me,
nor make it bear fruit before its time.
그래. 이 나무를 보게, 시푸. 나 좋자고 이 나무에 꽃을 피울 순 없다네,
제철도 아닌데 열매를 맺게 할 수도 없는 노릇이고.
Shifu: But there are things we can control. I can control when the fruit will fall.
And I can control...where to plant the seed. That is no illusion, Master.
하지만 우리가 통제 할 수 있는 것도 있습니다. 전 열매가 떨어질 때를 통제하고,
그 씨를 어디 심어야 할 지도 통제할 수 있습니다. 이건 착각이 아닙니다, 사부님.
Oogway: Ah. Yes. But no matter what you do, that seed will grow to be a peach tree.
You may wish for an apple or an orange, but you will get a peach.
아, 그래. 하지만 자네가 무슨 짓을 해도, 그 씨앗은 자라 복숭아 나무가 되겠지.
사과나 오렌지를 바랄 수도 있지만, 얻는 건 복숭아일 뿐이지.
Shifu: But a peach cannot defeat Tai Lung!
하지만 복숭아가 타이 렁을 물리칠 순 없습니다!
Oogway: Maybe it can. If you are willing to guide it. To nurture it. To believe in it.
물리 칠 수도 있지. 자네가 인도할 의사만 있다면. 길러주고, 믿어 줄 의사만
있다면 말일세.
Shifu: But how? How? I need your help, Master.
하지만 어떻게요? 어떻게 말입니까? 사부님의 도움이 필요합니다.
Oogway: No, you just need to believe. Promise me, Shifu. Promise me you will believe.
아니, 자넨 그냥 믿기만 하면 돼. 약속해 주게, 시푸. 믿을 거라고 약속해 주게.
Shifu: I, I will try. 노력하겠습니다.
Oogway: Good. My time has come. You must continue your journey without me.
좋아. 시간이 왔어. 자넨 반드시 나 없이도 여정을 계속해야만 하네.
