채은석: 어머니 결혼식은 잘 끝났지?

Did your mom’s wedding go well?

 

이연재: 결혼식이라고 할 것도 없지 뭐.

You don’t have to really call it a wedding.

그래도 엄마 재혼시키고 나니까 마음이 너무 편해.

But after getting my mom re-married, I feel more at ease.

행복하고 홀가분하고.

I’m happy and carefree.

 

채은석: 좋아 보인다. You do look very happy.

 

이연재: 어. Yeah.

 

채은석: 버킷리스트는 잘 되고 있나 봐.

It seems that the bucket list is going well.

 

이연재: 어떻게 알았어? How did you know about that?

 

채은석: 들었어, 희주한테. I heard from Hee Joo.

벌써 다 한 거야? Did you already finish it?

 

이연재: 아니. 그러고 보니까 아직 해야 할 일들이 많네.

No. Now that you mentioned it, I still have a lot more to do.

그때까지 몸이 버텨 줘야 되는데.

But first, my body has to endure it till then.

가능할까? Do you think it’ll be possible?

 

채은석: 주치의가 유능하니까, 아마도.

Since your personal doctor is intelligent, probably.

 

 

 

At the hospital, Ji-wook and Eun-seok sit together and watch Yeon-jae from afar,

and Eun-seok says that since the experimental treatment worked, they’ll keep her on it.

강지욱: 얼마나 더 살 수 있을까요?

How much longer can she live?

 

채은석: 이렇게 회복이 된 것도 기적이에요.

Living till now is already a miracle.

 

강지욱: 드물지만 기적은 또 일어나겠죠?

It’s rare, but another miracle will happen, right?

 

채은석: 물론이죠.  Of course.

 

이연재: 나만 빼고 무슨 이야기 해 둘이?

What are you two talking about without me?

 

채은석: 너 두고 싸웠어. We’re fighting over you.

로망이라며. You said it’s your fantasy.

 

 

Later, Yeon-jae sits under their tree and looks out at the world.

Ji-wook sits down next to her.

 

이연재: 시한부 판정을 받은 지 6개월이 지났다.

It’s been six months since I was diagnosed with terminal cancer.

그리고 지금 나는 7개월 이틀째를 살고 있다.

And now I have been living for 7 months and 2 days.

앞으로 나에겐 주어진 시간이 얼마일지는 알 수 없다.

I don’t know how much time is left for me.

며칠이든, 몇 달이든, 더 많은 날이든…

Whether days or months, or more days…

그건 중요하지 않다. That’s not important.

나는 그저 내가 살아있는 오늘을, 지금 이 순간을 살아가면 된다.

I just have to live each day that I’m alive, this moment right now.

후회 없이. Without regrets.
