*smell 「냄새·향기」의 뜻의 가장 일반적인 말.
/odor 물질의 화학적 특성으로서의 smell; 강하게 발산해서 즉시 맡을 수 있는 smell.
/scent 약한 smell. 종종 예민한 후각이 아니면 맡을 수 없음을 암시한다.
/ fragrance 꽃 및 그 밖의 성장하는 것이 발산하는 신선한 좋은 smell.
/perfume 강한 fragrance. /aroma 주위에 퍼져서 후각·미각을 돋우는 향기.

대왕대비: 감귤의 껍질을 우려 끓인 진피차라 하옵니다.

It is orange peel tea made from the dried peels of mandarin oranges.

*우리가 흔히 먹는 제주산 귤은 mandarin orange 또는 mandarin, 수입산 오렌지는 sweet orange
또는 orange 라고 하면 됩니다. 둘 다 orange 라는 말이 들어가지요. mandarin 은 원래 중국 청나라
관리를 뜻하는 말입니다. 청나라 관리가 입었던 옷이 주황색계통으로 귤과 색깔이 같다 해서 귤을
mandarin orange, 이걸 줄여서 mandarin 이라고 부르게 되었던 것입니다. 주황색 계통의 만다린과
구분하여 붉은색 계통은 tangerine 이라고 부릅니다.

 

이 차는 감모에 효험이 있을 뿐 아니라

This tea is not only effective against cold,

매운 성질이 있어 몸에 따뜻한 기운이 돌게 한다 들었습니다.

but is also slightly pungent, it can warm the body after drinking it.

 

이훤: 소손 역시 들은 바 있습니다.

이 차는 오래될수록 효능이 더욱 좋아진다고 하니
