Ah-jung freaks out that her friends want her
to have a housewarming and invite them over.
유소란: 근데 넌 집들이 언제 할거야?
When are you going to invite us to your housewarming party?
공 아정: 집들이? Housewarming party?
유소란: 니들도 아정이 집 가보고 싶지?
You guys want to visit Ah Jung’s home too, right?
친구: 어. Yes.
공 아정: 해야지, 집들이 해야지. 해야지, 해야지.
Of course a housewarming party!
I should invite all of you over. Definitely!
*invite sb over to ask sb to come to your home
/I don`t mean to sound petty, but Ah Jung has never invited us over for anything,
although she has been to my place many times.
째째하게 굴려는 건 아니지만, 자기는 우리 집에 수도 없이 왔으면서 아정이가 뭔가 준비해 놓고
우리를 부른 적은 한번도 없잖아.
[She heads straight to Ki Joon’s house.]
현 기준: 뭡니까? What are you doing?
공 아정: 어떡해요, 현기준씨? 우리 큰일 났어요.
What to do, Hyun Kin Joon? We’re in big trouble.
아, 어떡해…? What should we do…?
현 기준: 우리? We?
[Inside Ki Joon’s house, Ah Jung tries and persuades him.]
현 기준: 집들이? Come home for dinner?
공 아정: 집만 좀 빌려줘요. Please let me borrow your house for an evening.
나머지는 내가 다 알아서 할 게요.
Then I will take care of everything else.
현 기준: 내가 왜? Why do I have to do that?
공 아정: 나랑 결혼했잖아요. ‘Cause we’re married.
현 기준: 공 아정씨! Miss Gong Ah Jung!
공 아정: 절대 귀찮게 안 할게요. I will not bother you.
현 기준: 지금도 충분히 귀찮게 하잖아요.
You are already troubling me.
공 아정: 요만큼도 흠집 안 나게 잘 쓸게요.
I will absolutely not damage your house.
뒷정리도 다하구요, 절대 걱정할 일 없을 거에요.
I will tidy up your house.
There’s no need for you to worry about it.
* He never picks[cleans] up after himself.
그는 도무지 뒷정리를 안 한다.
절대 참석할 일도 없을 거구요.
Also, you won’t have to participate.
현 기준: 싫은데. I don’t want to.
공 아정: 왜요? Why?
현 기준: 잊었어요? 우린 아무것도 안 하기로 하고 계약한 거?
Did you forget? We agree not to do anything.
집들이 같은 거 계약서엔 없었어.
The contract didn’t even mention any housewarming party.
공 아정: 사람 사는 게 계약대로만 굴러가요?
Life doesn’t always turn out the way you plan, right?
피치 못할 사정이란 게 있는 거잖아요.
We are unable to predict or foresee any circumstances.
*What if there are circumstances beyond your control?
피치 못할 사정이 있으면요?
/피치 못할 사정으로 for some unavoidable reasons
: from[under; compelled by] unavoidable circumstances
현 기준: 그건 내 사정이 아니죠. That’s not my problem.
