좀 크게 말해 잘 안 들려.

당연하지. 오랜만에 우리 동아리 다 모이는 건데.

*여기서 society는 an organization or association of persons engaged in a common profession, activity, or interest 로 우리말의 동아리 정도로 쓰일 수 있습니다. 유명한 영화 Dead poet’s Society 를 ‘죽은 시인의 사회’로 제목을 번역했지만 사실 영화 속 주인공들의 시 동아리 이름을 그렇게 부른 겁니다.

백진희: 아 그럼 내일 희선 언니가 다 내시는 거에요?

금방 넣어 준다 그랬거든요.

He said he would pay me immediately.

 

고시원 주인: 내일 반이라도 넣어줘.

Just pay half the rent tomorrow.

안 그러면 나도 방 뺄 수 밖에 없어.

Otherwise you will have to stop renting the room.

 

백진희: 예, 죄송합니다. Yes, I’m sorry.

최대한 빨리 반이 아니라 다 넣어 드릴게요.
