‘지고는 못살아’ 드디어 이번 주에 첫 방영을 시작했네요.
제가 예상한 대로 가벼우면서도 사랑스럽고 재미난 드라마에요.
최지우씨와 윤상현씨 잘 어울리죠?
아직 첫방이라 시청률은 그다지 높지 않네요.
동시간대 타방송 드라마들이 나름 선전을 펼치고 있는 관계로
두 자리 수 시청률로 오르는 데는 시간이 걸릴지도 모르겠습니다.
그래도 느낌은 좋습니다. 여러분도 많은 응원 하시리라 믿어요.

At a train station,
where LEE EUN-JAE (Choi Ji-woo) has arrived to meet her husband,
YEON HYUNG-WOO (Yoon Sang-hyun), who’s been away on a business trip.
이은재: 어, 도착했어? Uh, are you in Seoul yet?
연형우: 아니 지금 가는 중이야. No, I’m on my way.
이은재: 뭐? 한시 도착이라며.
What? You said you were supposed to be here at 1 o’clock.
연형우: 부산 일이 늦게 끝났어. The work in Busan finished late.
이은재: 오늘 인터뷰랬잖아.
I said we have an interview today.
연형우: 능력 뛰어난 이은재가 내 몫까지 잘 해봐. 알았지?
You’re capable enough for the two of us, if you know what I mean.
이은재: 일부러 늦게 탄 거지? 인터뷰하기 싫어서.
You deliberately took a later train, didn’t you?
‘Cause you don’t want to be interviewed.
연형우: 에이, 그럴 리가 있나. That can’t be the case.

연형우: 너 마중 다니는 캐릭터 아니잖아.
You are not the kind of person who willingly comes out to fetch me.
이은재: 다른 데로 튈 까봐 그런다 왜?
Why not? I thought you might ditch our scheduled interview.
안 내려? 부산 다시 가게?
Aren’t you getting off the train? You want to go back to Busan?
연형우: 내려야지, 내려야지. Of course, I’m getting off.
Hyung-woo hesitates to get into Eun-jae’s trash-littered car.
이은재: 안 타? Aren’t you getting into my car?
연형우: 알았어. Okay.
아이고 신기하네. 이렇게 크고 비싼 쓰레기통은 처음 봐 내가.
It’s a wonder. I’ve never seen such an expensive trash can before.
이은재: 더 신기한 거 보여 줘? You want to see another wonder?
쓰레기 통이 굴러가기 까지 한다. And it rolls, too!
연형우: 야야, 천천히….천천히… Hey, slow down…slow down.
They are in the middle of the interview.
기자: 오늘 인터뷰 정말 좋은데요.
I love today’s interview.
이은재: 그래요? 이 정도 인터뷰면 기사 분량 나올까요?
You do? Is this enough for an article?
기자: 그럼요. Yes, it is.
이은재: 이왕이면 제목도 이쁘게 빠지면 좋겠는데.
While you are at it, I want the title to be cute.
희망을 지키는 변호사 부부.
Husband-and wife law firm that shares hope.
어때요? What do you think?
기자: 좋은데요. I like it.
두 분 처음엔 어떻게 만나셨어요?
Would you tell me the story of how you two met?
연형우: 첫만남이라… the story of how we met…
그날이지? 나 의뢰인한테 까이고 로펌에서 잘리고.
That day, right? When my client cussed at me and I got fired.
이은재: 아이, 잘리긴, 당신이 사표 냈잖아.
Got fired? No. You submitted your resignation letter to the law firm.
연형우: 엄밀히 따지면 잘린 거지.
Strictly speaking, I got fired.
이은재: 아, 사람이 이렇게 겸손해요. My husband is just modest like this.
힘없고 어려운 의뢰인들 돕고 싶다고 로펌에 사표 던졌거든요.
He wanted to help the needy, so he quit.
연형우: 생색은. 화장실 갔다 온다.
How condescending. I gotta use bathroom.
*I do wish he wouldn't condescend to the junior staff in his department.
나는 정말 그가 자기 부서의 나이 어린 직원들한테 생색 좀 안 냈으면 좋겠어.
/He gave me some friendly advice without a trace of condescension.
그는 전혀 생색내는 기색이 없이 내게 친절한 충고를 해주었다.
